Fastlane
Your average home pool is a great place to cool off, splash around and socialize, but not for swimming and exercise — six or eight strokes brings you to the end where you have to turn and start over.
The Fastlane is a swim current generator for your existing swimming pool, similar to a treadmill, that allows you to swim for miles without stopping or turning. Easily installed in virtually any pool, the Fastlane creates a smooth current that is wider than your body and deeper than your stroke. Ideal for swimming, aquatic exercise, rehabilitation, and family enjoyment. A Fastlane’s Benefits are quite diverse and makes exercise easy and fitness fun.
The unique Fastlane system produces a non-turbulent current that can be set to a speed by remote control to suit any swimming or exercise ability. Learning to use a Fastlane takes only seconds. Anyone can learn to use the Fastlane regardless of age or fitness level. The Fastlane’s highest speed challenges the best competitive swimmer, yet the current can easily be adjusted to suit the beginner and everyone in between. The standard Fastlane produces a non-turbulent current that has a top speed equivalent to approximately a 22-minute mile pace. The optional Hi-Performance current reduces that time to a 17-minute mile pace.

How a Fastlane Works
Our Wall-Mount Fastlane fastens directly to the pool wall and is ideal for new construction. Our Deck-Mount Fastlane hangs from the side of the pool much as a pool ladder does and can be retrofitted to an existing pool. The system has two parts: a remotely located hydraulic Power Unit that powers the swim current and the Fastlane Swim Unit that mounts poolside. Two hydraulic hoses designed to keep electricity far away from the water connect these components.
The poolside Fastlane Swim Unit includes a waterproof hydraulic motor that turns our custom-designed 16″ propeller and an innovative channeling system that straightens and smooths the swim current. At the bottom of the Fastlane, water enters from all directions, including the back, through intake grills. The Fastlane’s intake is 687 square inches in area (nearly five square feet), eliminating all worries about suction danger.
The Fastlane swim system can be installed in virtually any in ground concrete, gunite, masonry, vinyl-lined or fiberglass pool, and in many above ground pools as well. The Deck Mount Fastlane can be self-installed by a reasonably handy homeowner. The Swim Unit can be placed in water as shallow as 35″. Generally speaking, if the pool is deep enough to swim in, it’s deep enough for a Fastlane. In addition, the Fastlane must be installed no closer than 24” from any adjacent wall. Select a location for the Swim Unit that is at least 12′ from the opposing wall of the pool. This will provide you a luxurious 10′-long “lane” to swim in. This requirement is easily accommodated by a variety of pool shapes and sizes. Once you’ve decided where to locate the Swim Unit, choose a location for the Power Unit. As a practical matter, many homeowners site the Power Unit with their other pool equipment, although it may be located in a garage or basement close to electric power. When the Power Unit is placed outside, we recommend our Outdoor Power Unit with Weather Guard to protect it from everyday weather conditions.
